Chicken Magnet

Description

Bring some barnyard flare to your fridge with this ceramic chicken magnet. Please add a note to your order on checkout to choose either the white or black chicken – if you fail to do so, I will randomly choose one for you! Add 5 magnets to your cart to get $10 off the set of 5! Each of my pieces is a unique work of art, hand-made and lovingly shaped and glazed, so there will be a few imperfections.

The creation process:
1. I rolled the clay out into a flat sheet and cut the shape.
2. After drying for 2-3 days, I trimmed excess clay off of the piece.
3. After reaching the bone-dry stage, the design was painted with underglaze.
4. The piece was bisque fired in the kiln.
5. The piece was washed, then glazed with a clear glaze.
6. The piece was fired in the kiln for a second time at cone 6.
7. It makes its way (hopefully) to your fridge! 🙂
